18 Apr A total white decor for the modern paintings of Mariani Affreschi
Today we present a period home renovated with a total white look, enhanced by the monochromatic choice of the wall decorations, consisting of ArteMariani modern paintings created by the creative skills of our master painters.
The home in question is located in the picturesque setting of Lake Garda, in the historic centre of Polpenazze. Designed and furnished by the architect Alessandro Dotti, it is home to a couple with a child, art lovers. The works of the Mariani Affreschi laboratory have been beautifully and expertly placed in some rooms of the home.
AN EMOTIONAL WORK FOR THE KITCHEN WALLS.
In the kitchen, we are welcomed by the first work, which gives the room a very expressive and captivating character.
The environment, derived from the restoration of an ancient building in the historic centre, is a sophisticated combination of the historic structure with vaulted ceiling and the inclusion of modern and linear elements. The colour scheme, almost all white, is the common thread of all the rooms.
In the kitchen, the guest’s attention is captured by a large modern painting from the Arte Mariani collection. The work is called “The Prince” and depicts an ancient figurative statue of central African.
The art master of the Mariani Affreschi laboratory who created this work was inspired by the face of an ancient African sculpture that represented a 17th century tribal leader.
This beautiful modern painting, with a three-dimensional effect, was hand painted using the dry technique. The same subject matter can also be created with the Giclée on canvas technique. The Giclée is a high-quality silk-screen reproduction, numbered and certified, made using a digital technique in compliance with the copyright law.
We described this technique a while ago in the blog article featuring the origin of the Giclée technique.
BLACK AND WHITE FRESCOES FOR THE WALLS OF THE LIVING AREA.
In the living area, the owners have emphasised two works created with the fresco “strappo” technique. In the dining area, the viewer’s gaze is captured by a portrait of a sensual Marilyn Monroe wearing evening clothes and black gloves, which acts as a beautiful backdrop.
The large work almost takes up the entire back wall.
A bit smaller but just as captivating is instead the second work, a black panther placed over the cupboard of the lounge area. The room is decorated in a contemporary shabby style. The modern paintings with animal fresco and the portrait make the setting even more refined and exclusive.
FRESCO PORTRAIT FOR THE BEDROOM
However, the portrait skills of the Mariani Affreschi master painters are best expressed in the bedroom of the owner’s daughter. A picture of the girl photographed while holidaying at the beach was transformed into a large frescoed backdrop. Portraits of people are usually smaller, but in this case, thanks to the ability of the fresco masters, the girl’s portrait – even in this case, monochrome – was transposed to a much larger size, so as to cover the entire wall.
In addition, “full” frames were applied to the two fresco “strappo” paintings placed at walking height. These special shatterproof frames have the job of preserving the works if guests should accidentally lean against the wall.
Finally, the stylistic choice of monochrome subjects in this historic urban context amplifies the creative effect of the Mariani Affreschi modern paintings.
