Today we present a special project created by Mariani Affreschi and its group of professional artists for the Marisa Borghi Health Spa. The realization helps to understand the importance of quality and the artistic capabilities of a company when it has to deal with certain types of services and meet special requirements.

Creating a suitable scenography for this special kind of location is not easy. First of all, an adequate subject matter must be found that can contribute to creating an atmosphere in harmony with the space and services offered, but above all, art professionals must be used who know how to produce a timeless piece of artwork.

Many technical aspects have to be considered when creating frescoes for health spas in order to ensure a high-quality product.

“The work was demanding in every aspect. Two walls were frescoed directly at the Marisa Borghi health spa. A third frescoed subject, instead, was created in our laboratory on a canvas and then “strappato” (pulled). It was brought to the spa and glued directly onto the wall”.

For these types of interventions, a company must not only be organised to work externally, but must also be capable of evaluating and coordinating the entire organisation of the work, so that the artwork is completed on schedule using the most appropriate methods.

Another fundamental aspect is the artistic technique, even in relation to the physical place where the works will eventually be placed.

“Both techniques used involve the authentic method of fresco painting that guarantees an extremely resistance painting even in humid conditions.” The subjects were chosen to create a relaxing atmosphere in perfect harmony with the spirit of wellbeing.

“Four different artists,” explains Alberto Mariani, “worked on creating all the paintings. In some cases, painters worked in pairs on a single subject”.

Each interpreter has his/her own painting predisposition and worked according to their specific sensibilities in order to offer the client an artwork of the highest quality. Great team effort requires technical expertise and organisational skills that only a specialised company can have. Now, all that is left to do is admire the feeling of wellbeing while taking a bath in the pool or relaxing in the sauna immersed in an artistic and relaxing setting.
