11 May The best of Mariani Affreschi at Salone del Mobile
A very special live performance by Mariani Affreschi opened the 2012 Salone del Mobile. Brushstroke after brushstroke, one of the art masters from the Brescian-based company created Venice, a beautiful painting (200×300 cm) depicting the city that symbolises Italy (watch video). An artistic demonstration that captivated visitors, offering them a taste of the age-old craft that has distinguished, since the beginning, Mariani Affreschi’s artistic know-how and expertise.

“We are satisfied,” commented the Mariani brothers. “There was a large inflow of visitors, especially foreigners, and many were fascinated by the creation of a live painting. I believe that showing what goes behind a work of art is very important to let customers know the value of the works.” There were also numerous requests at the fair for the creation of frescoed ceilings in trompe l’oeil, or with gold leaf decorations or depicting classic figurative scenes.

“For custom made works in homes,” explains Alberto Mariani, “we are developing innovative solutions for sending structures prepared in Italy to the sites where they are to be installed, with great benefits to designers and end customers. We will soon be launching a revolutionary product whose details are currently confidential”.

Mariani Affreschi is becoming more and more synonymous with the production of custom-made works of the highest level, especially for foreign customers. ArteMariani, Mariani’s contemporary “hothouse”, is growing just as fast with new collections and subjects suitable for modern settings, which offer good value for money.

“ArteMariani is having a lot of success, especially in Italy. Customers (architects and furniture stores) are interested in more contemporary works which however still have that Italian craftsmanship and quality”.

“We continue with renewed enthusiasm our rewarding collaboration with Gianluca Morello and his Bakokko Group. At the Salone del Mobile we unveiled the latest creations where the fresco paintings were combined to boiserie to create new types of settings and decor. The creative genius of Gianluca and our talented artists are a truly winning combination for those who turn to us”.
